Overview

The Nike Air Max 1 'Tokyo Maze' features a predominantly black-and-white leather upper covered in an embossed, interconnected maze pattern, reflecting the labyrinthine nature of Tokyo’s subway system. The left and right shoes reverse the dominant black and white colour blocking, creating an intentionally mismatched appearance while retaining a cohesive overall design. White Swooshes provide contrast across the side panels, while rainbow-coloured laces introduce a vivid accent inspired by the colourful subway lines running throughout Tokyo. The design is completed by a black midsole and a visible red Air unit, with the red detail representing Tokyo Tower. The sneaker also incorporates interchangeable tongue patches and additional laces, allowing for further customisation.
